ἐπὶ Ἱππίου ἄρχοντο̣ς, ἐπὶ τῆς Λεωντίδος ἕκτης πρυτανείας, ἧ[ι Θεοδ]ό̣σ̣[ιος]Ξενοφάντου Λαμπτρεὺς ἐγραμμάτευεν· Ποσιδεῶνος ἐμβολίμου ἑν̣δεκά–τει, ἐνάτει καὶ εἰκοστεῖ τῆς πρυτανείας· βουλὴ ἐμ βουλευτηρίωι σύνκλητοςστρατηγῶν παραγγειλάντων καὶ ἀπὸ βουλῆς ἐκκλησία κυρία ἐν τῶι θεάτρωι· v vτῶμ προέδρων ἐπεψήφιζεν Ἀμεινίας Ξάνθου Μαραθώνιος καὶ συμπρόεδροι· vἔδοξεν τῶι δήμωι· v Λακράτης Μέ̣ντορος Περιθοίδης εἶπεν· ὑπὲρ ὧν ἀπαγ–γέλλουσιν οἱ πρυτάνεις τῆς Λεωντίδος ὑπὲρ τῶν θυσιῶν ὧν ἔθυον τὰ πρὸ τῶνἐκκλησιῶν τῶι τε Ἀπόλλωνι τῶι Προστατηρίωι καὶ τεῖ Ἀρτέμιδι τεῖ Βουλαίαικαὶ τοῖς ἄλλοις θεοῖς, οἷς πάτριον ἦν, v ἀγαθεῖ τύχει, δεδόχθαι τῶι δήμωι· τὰμὲν ἀγαθὰ δέχεσθαι τὰ γεγονότα ἐν τοῖς ἱεροῖς, οἷς ἔθυον ἐφ᾽ ὑγιείαι καὶ σωτη–ρίαι τῆς τε βουλῆς καὶ τοῦ δήμου καὶ τῶν συμμάχων· ἐπειδὴ δὲ οἱ πρυτάνειςτάς τε θυσίας ἔθυσαν ἁπάσας, ὅσαι καθῆκον ἐν τεῖ πρυτανείαι καλῶς καὶ φι–λοτίμως, ἐπεμελήθησαν δὲ καὶ τῆς συλλογῆς τῆς τε βουλῆς καὶ τοῦ δήμουκαὶ τῶν ἄλλων ἁπάντων, ὧν αὐτοῖς προσέταττον οἵ τε νόμοι καὶ τὰ ψηφίσμα–τα το̣ῦ δήμου· ἐπαινέσαι τοὺς πρυτάνεις τῆς Λεωντίδος καὶ στεφανῶσαι χρυ–σῶι στεφάνωι κα̣τὰ τὸν νόμον εὐσεβείας ἕνεκεν τῆς πρὸς τοὺς θεοὺς καὶ φιλο–[τιμίας τῆς] ε̣[ἰς τὴν βου]λ̣ὴν [καὶ τὸ]ν δῆμον τὸν Ἀθηναίων· ἀναγράψαι δὲ τόδε τὸ[ψήφισμα τὸν γραμματέα τὸν κατὰ πρυτ]α̣νεία̣ν ἐν στήλει λιθίνει καὶ στῆ–[σαι ἐν τῶι πρυτανικῶι – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –]– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Xenophantos aus dem Demos LamptraiI Sekretär war; im Schaltmonat Posideon am elften,dem neunundzwanzigsten (Tag) der Prytanie; Ratsversammlung im Buleuterion, einberufenauf Anordnung der Generäle, und nach der Ratsversammlung Haupt-Volksversammlung in dem Theater;von den Vorsitzenden leitete die Abstimmung Ameinias S.d. Xanthos aus dem Demos Marathon und seine Mitvorsitzenden.Beschluss des Volkes; Lakrates S.d. Mentor aus dem Demos Perithoidai stellte den Antrag: Worüber Berichterstatten die Prytanen der Leontis, nämlich über die Opfer, die sie opferten vor denVolksversammlungen dem Apollon Prostaterios und der Artemis Boulaiaund den anderen Göttern, denen es traditionell Brauch war, zu Glück und Heil!, wolle beschließen das Volk:dass man das Gute billige, das geschehen ist bei den Opfern, die sie opferten für das Heil und die Rettungdes Rates und des Volkes und der Bundesgenossen; – Da aber die Prytanengeopfert haben alle die Opfer, zu denen sie in der Prytanie verpflichtet waren, in guter undehrgeiziger Weise; sie auch Sorge getragen haben für das Zusammentreten des Rates und der Volksversammlungund für alles andere, was ihnen die Gesetze vorschrieben und die Beschlüssedes Volkes: dass man belobige die Prytanen der Leontis und bekränze mit goldenemKranz gemäß dem Gesetz wegen ihrer Frömmigkeit gegenüber den Göttern und ihresEhrgeizes für den Rat und das Volk der Athener; dass diesen Beschlussder Sekretär, der während der Prytanie amtiert, aufzeichne auf eine steinerne Stele undaufstelle in dem Prytanikon; - - -- - -

On the eleventh of intercalated Posideon,the twenty-ninth of the prytany. Council in the Council chamber convened at the instigationof the generals and, resulting from the Council, principal Assembly in the theatre.Of the presiding committee Ameinias son of Xanthos of Marathon was putting to the vote, and his fellow presiding committee members.The People decided. Lakrates son of Mentor of Perithoidai proposed: concerning whatthe prytany of Leontis reports about the sacrifices which they made before theAssemblies to Apollo Prostaterios and to Artemis Boulaiaand to the other gods for whom it is customary, for good fortune, the People shall decide towelcome the good results that have occurred in the sacrifices which they made for the health andpreservation of the Council, the People and the allies; and, since the prytanyhas made all the sacrifices which are proper in the prytany well and withlove of honour and also has taken care of the convening of the Council and the Peopleand of everything else which the laws and the decrees of the People prescribe for them,to praise the prytany of Leontis and to crown them with a gold crownaccording to the law, for their piety towards the gods and their love ofhonour towards the Council and the People of the Athenians; and the prytanysecretary shall inscribe this decree on a stone stele and standit [in the prytanikon] - - -- - -
